Stephen Johnson is a native of Camden, NJ where he received his passion for basketball while playing in local parks and leagues. He later moved to Centreville, MD where he was a stand out basketball player for Queen Anne County High School Lions. Stephen further his basketball career at the Chesapeake Community College where he received many accolades including the Most Improved Player of the year award. He also won varsity letters for soccer and baseball. In 1996, he returned to Camden, NJ where he earned his Associates degree in early childhood education at Camden County Community College and is currently enrolled at University of Phoenix to receive a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Stephen has been with Team Hines Basketball Academy (THBA) since 2011 where he coached the 15U team to an AAU championship during his 1st year. He is also a volunteered coach for his son’s football and basketball team. Coaching is one of the resources that he uses to carry out his mission to motivate and help young student athletes to accomplish thier goals. Stephen is a proud member of the THBA coaching staff and looks forward to helping this program grow beyond any and all expectation. He has resided in Erial, NJ for over the past 14 years with his wife of 15 years and two sons (Matthew and Noah).
